Ms. Lakshmi Purushothaman has close to 25 years of experience with the last decade spent in management positions at the nexus of technology and business. Freddie Mac is in the secondary mortgage business, making home possible for millions of families and individuals nationwide by providing mortgage capital to lenders. Lakshmi currently oversees the business intelligence (reporting, analytics, AI/ML) services for Single-Family Modeling, Econometrics, Data, and Analytics, a unit that works with a complex, large volume and variety of data at Freddie Mac.
She brings a unique lens to problem-solving which has kept her business unit ahead of the curve. She has an uncanny ability to foresee problems and is known for challenging the status quo and advocating for change.
She brings this ability to all aspects of her life. She is an avid runner and a health enthusiast. She actively supports her kids scouting, debate, and robotics interests. She believes in giving back and is a mentor to numerous people and a dynamic volunteer in her community.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Madras and a master’s in applied math and computer science from the University of Oklahoma.
